I Am Currently Undergoing Chemotherapy, Folfox Regimen, With 1 Day

I am currently undergoing chemotherapy, Folfox regimen, with 1 day at Dana Farber Boston for Oxaliplatin (allergic to so it's over a 12 hours day), then a local oncologist the next few days for the other chemicals (Leucovorin, Avastin, 5fu push and a pack of 5fu for 46 hours. Dana Farber platelet count Wednesday (treamtent #3- biweekly)was 350,000, today (Thursday)at local Dr for other chemicals, platelet count dropped to 43,000. Any information more than I was provided today, precautions, anything I can do to boost those counts? Any info appreciated. Already to pull the 'disability' card starting next week for work as Dr's and nurses said it was time/best for my safety.
