I Am Experiencing Discomfort And Occasional Sharp Pain In The

I am experiencing discomfort and occasional sharp pain in the perimeter area close to the anus. The pain is localized in one specific area. I have no rectal bleeding or discharge of any type. The pain is overwhelming at times and feels like I have been stuck with a sharp object or stick. The pain comes and goes but is most prevalent after periods of sitting. I experience very little pain when lying down and sleeping is not a problem. Warm baths with coconut oil seems to relieve the pain for a short while. Hemorrhoidal Creams and ointments do not help. I have been taking ibuprofen which seams to help with the pain. In addition, I have been taken metamucil as a stool softener because of the pain and discomfort that occurs during bowel movements. Upon examination there is no redness but mild rawness. The area is not dry or chapped. I have no fever or body aches. I have been experiencing these symptoms for 5 days and at times it appears to be getting better, yet persists. Any suggestions for cause or remedy would appreciated. Thank you.
