I Am Experiencing Fluttering Heart Palpitations And Feel Like I

I am experiencing fluttering heart palpitations and feel like i need to cough in order to clear my chest or to get rid of the fluttering. I've experienced this in the past but my cardiologist says my heart actually has an extra beat. He also suggested extra Magnesium as I am already taking it and today I took 2 doses of 500ml extra. I'm not sure if this will hurt me or not but so far the flutters have not gone away. I also had a few stressful weeks at work but never feel this is an issue. Any suggestions?
