I Am Experiencing Pain In My Lower Back And Buttocks.

I am experiencing pain in my lower back and buttocks. I don't have the fiery sensations commonly associated with sciatica but I do have some muscle spasms and intermittent numbness in buttocks and thighs. Taking ibuprofen and doing stretches that are supposed to help alleviate inflammation and pain. It does help but only for a short period of time. i woke up at 2 am barely able to stand up. Any advice?
