I Am Experiencing Severe Muscle Spasm In My Side, Right

I am experiencing severe muscle spasm in my side, right underneath the breast, on top of the ribs. Bending exacerbates the pain. Lifting the arm exacerbates the pain. I have injured those muscles recently while using a cane in recovering from hip replacement surgery, but this is severe, stabbing, pain. I have taken an 800 milligram ibuprofen , am using heat and an analgesic such as bio freeze. Anything else I can do?
