I Am Female, 55, And Had Breast Cancer Last Year.

I am female, 55, and had breast cancer last year. I had two lumpectomies and a painful infection that refus3d to heal for months after many courses of antibiotics. Now, one year later, I have pretty serious pain and swelling in the remaining breast tissue, but also other symptoms I'm starting to think might be related -- maybe they even came first. Before the mamm9gram, I saw a cardiologist. Serious cede a in my legs and feet and a weird eeg/ekg(?) made my primary care m.d. think I had cardiovascular issues. She told me i had had a heart attack. Cardiologist said no. I occasionally had then and now constantly have sores on my scalp. They build up a painful pressure and when pressed they shoot out clear, watery fluid and destroy the nearby tissue. They crust over heal some, but weep fluid and are slow to heal. They come and go, but mostly stay. Now I'm getting swollen glands and blisters under my eyelids that leak clear fluid. Sometimes the fluid (scalp and eye) is caustic, scalp fluid has had an odor from time to time (an amonia or chemical smell) but most lately does not. My lids swell. My eyes feel gritty. My lashes are thicker, black ( I'm quite fair) and coming 8n sparse and at odd angles. My vision seems worse, one pupil is a bit larger than the other. My voice is getting raspy more often. I'm wheezy -- I can hear myself breathing.

I have smoked since age 11, however I had chest, bone, and body scans as well as blood work last Spring when I was diagnosed with great cancer. All negative. And while it was stage 1 ductal breat cancer, estrogen and progesterone positive, it was tiny and I surgery and had radiation and they think it is gone.

But these other symptoms remain, plus dandruffy scalp, dry skin and eyes. Muscle cramps in my hands. Some pain remains in wrists from estrogen blockers, which I had to discontinue ( femara). And lately, my right hip seems to be slipping out of the socket -- not all the way, but enough to make my leg collapse from under me.
