I Am Getting A Pin Pricking Pain In My Cervix

I am getting a pin pricking pain in my cervix right now. Haven't had this in a while. My period is due next week but I also am active with my boyfriend and we had sex when I believed to have been ovulating. What is this? Is this an early sign of pregnancy or is it Just my body preparing for my period to start? Thanks.
