I Am Getting Over A Severe Case Of Shingles...they Are

I am getting over a severe case of shingles...they are dry...but the burning pain in my leg persists and it hurts when I walk or move my leg. They started over a month ago. I was given pain meds but they don't help the burning. What can I apply to alleviate this pain? I have applied lubriderm lotion...but that doesn't help. I would appreciate your answer.
