I Am Getting Purple Lines On My Thighs Just Like

I am getting purple lines on my thighs just like 3 or 4 and they are on the outside kind of 4-5 inches above my knee area what does this mean? I have heard that it could mean gaining weight too quickly but I have been the same weight for the past 2 months
