I Am Going On A Cruise And Get Sea Sick

I am going on a cruise and get sea sick each time. In the past I have used travacalm but this doesn't always work. A friend of mine used a different medication starting with 'A' - it wasn't
Avil. Would you be able to advise what medication this was or suggest another medication.
