I am going to have hysterectomy for cancer of the Uterus. I am 79 years old and have blood clotting problems. I have had DVT in the left leg which went to my lungs as PE 18 years ago. Since then I have had several other 'episodes' Because of this I was prescribed Xarelto for the rest of my life. My Ocologiste has now advised me to stop the Xarelto 10 days prior to my surgery and inject 100 mg of Clexane twice daily for those 9 days and on the 10th day only inject 80 mg once.

my weight is 100kg and I do not have any renal problems

My question is does the 100mg/1.0ml(anti-Xa. 10,0001U) Seem a lot to take for that length of time.
