I Am Having A Constant Sharp Pain From My Left

I am having a constant sharp pain from my left shoulder, down my left arm, and to my fingers. I also cannot stop belching. Are these two discomforts related to one problem or are they coincidental and separate issues? I've tried antacids with no relief and otc meds for the pain also with no relief. And ideas on what might be going on?
