I Am Having A Heartburn Primarily Under My Chest Area

I am having a heartburn primarily under my chest area and sometimes I even feel the acid taste in my mouth like it moves up gradually to my mouth. I have watched my diet but it still keeps happening. I have also noticed blood in my stool its a bright red but its not an everyday thing it comes very unfrequently. I don't know if I should go to the doctor because I don't feel weak or pale. Not running any temperature and no previous medical history. I exercise regularly and I am a vegetarian.
