I Am Having A Mildly Itchy Throat With A Dry

I am having a mildly itchy throat with a dry cough. I have to hack up green phlegm but not much ocmes out. I woke up this morning with my left nostril full. Now, I have muffled hearing through my left ear. These symptoms started Sunday night. Might this be an ear infection and should I go to the doctor or try to wait it out? I don't want to pay a co-pay and be put on antibiotics if it isn't necessary.
