I Am Having A Robotic Hysterectomy On Wednesday. I Am

I am having a robotic hysterectomy on Wednesday. I am 49 and still get my period so I have requested to keep my ovaries so I won't have a drastic change to menopause immediately. My doctor said my ovaries looked fine in the ultrasound so she said I could keep them. I have a small area in my uterus of endometrium cancer Grade 1. What would be the reason to have to take out my ovaries when I am in menopaus? She said that would be a possibility.. Is it because Endometrium cancer could spread after a hysterectomy ? or is it fear of ovarian cancer??
