I Am Having Bone Size Growth On My Hand. I

I am having bone size growth on my hand. I assume it is arthritis since my mom and sister have similar hand structure as they have aged. I am 57 and have just noticed this in the past year. Do you think there is an early treatment for this type of arthritis, as my hands are already beginning tools deformed. If so, should I see a rheumatologist?
I do have slight pain when I put my hand in a fist.
