I Am Having Borderline Hypothyroid And My TSH Used To

I am having borderline hypothyroid and my TSH used to be between 6 and 7 when i was not taking any medication . My doctor suggested me levothyroxine 25mcg once daily . I got my thyroid checked again after 3 months my TSH is higher than before 8.9. Just confused why it increased in spite of taking medication . I hardly missed it anyday .
