I Am Having Intermittent Stabbing Pain In My Right Upper

I am having intermittent stabbing pain in my right upper abdominal area. There is nothing in particular that brings it on nor that make it worse. When the pain hits, it can be anywhere from a mild pain that is uncomfortable from the right side of my lower rib cage all the way around to my back, to a severe pain that literally takes my breath away. I have already had my gallbladder removed. The area is tender to touch. I have also had a significant change in my bowels over the past month, and am not sure if it is related or not. I am not sure if I should seek immediate medical attention, or wait until I can get in with my PCP in 2 weeks.
