I Am Having Pain Just Above My "muffin Top" On

I am having pain just above my "muffin top" on the left side. It happens several times a day and lasts anywhere from several seconds to a few minutes. After the "attack" there is a lingering dull ache. I don't have a gallbladder, appendix, large intestine and have had 2 stomach surgeries. I have a pre-op appointment tomorrow and would like to be able to give the doctor a point to start with. PS I have been treated for bladder infections recently.
