I Am Having Pain Under My Bosom Area, It Is

I am having pain under my bosom area, it is like on the rib section, it pains me when pushed on but I do not see any lumps. It has bothered me for at least a month since I discovered it while bathing. I do have a Dr. appt. at the end of the week but am scared of what it may show. What are your thoughts?
