I Am Having Sciatica Like Pains In The Right Leg

I am having sciatica like pains in the right leg and hip. If radiates down the side of th right hip/leg like a severe pinch. My lower back is very weak. So weak that I have trouble standing for any length of time. Needless to say, housework and shopping are impossible. I've had to quit my teaching job as a result. My nurse practitioner prescribed physical therapy and an anti- inflammatory. Neither seems to have done much. I had an MRI done and it shows no bulging discs, there are a few Spurs which they say are normal for a 64 year old woman. I've had injections prior to the PT, but they didn't work either. I might add that I weigh 228 lbs at 5'4". I want to lose weight, but exercising (walking) is very painful. At this time I'm considering seeing a chiropractor. If you could give me some advise I'd really appreciate it!!!
