I Am Having Sharp Pain From My Throat That Causes

I am having sharp pain from my throat that causes me to cough. After the coughing episode, the pain in my throat starts going away. Then the back and right side of my tongue and sometimes along the right side of my tooth line hurts and burns. What could be causing this? The ENT sent me for a CT scan, but nothing showed up. Do you have any answers to what could be causing this?
