I Am Having Surgery For Hiatal Hernia, & GERD. I

I am having surgery for hiatal hernia, & GERD. I take Rabeprazole tablets twice a day so Added 400 mg magnesium supplement to my diet & it also helps with a constipation problem I have since my last surgery on my female organs. I've been told I can continue taking my regular vitamin daily but to stop added ones a week before surgery but continued with the magnesium.
is it ok to take the magnesium up to the day before surgery too?
