I Am Having Surgery Tomorrow To Remove A Lapoma Off

I am having surgery tomorrow to remove a Lapoma off my back. I am coming down with a sore throat and want to know if I can take Zicam to knock this thing out? It is very effective for me. I have discontinued ibuprofen and urbal tea a week ago. They are not putting me out with general anesthesia, but told me I would just be out for about 5 minutes.
