I Am Having Terrific Pain In My Shoulder And Down

I am having terrific pain in my shoulder and down the back of my left upper arm. It isn't responding to several treatments I have already tried. It started after I slept with my left arm outstretched and my grandson sleeping in the crook of my armpit. Any suggestions?
