I Am Having Testicular Pain Only On The Right Testicle.

I am having testicular pain only on the right testicle. It is a constant dull ache. Also when lifting the pain is triggered. I had inguinal hernia surgery about a month and a half ago. The dr. is telling me that the area seems perfectly fine and has no lifting restrictions for me. The feeling I have is exactly the same as before I had the surgery. I am concerned of what my problem is for one and wonder if this surgery was a waste of pain and money. I did not have a lump before surgery nor do I now. Something feels like it is pressing on a nerve or the chord of my testicle. The Dr. Tried explaining a gateway theory of pain. And he gave me medicine to help with it. he said the medicine is supposed to help turn that signal off to the brain that is telling me that I am having pain when lifting. I forgot what the medicine was called but it used to be used for depression in higher doses but in lower doses it has been known to help with aches and pains.

I have been checked for testicular cancer and was told that is not it. What other things could this be or did my Dr. not correctly fix my hernia?
