I Am Having Too Much Acid Reflux This Am As

I am having too much acid reflux this am as I am taking tagament 2x day; I took another OTC reflux this am too; I ate later than usual but never have had this much; I woke up coughing for an hour w/ acid way too much....I am drinking coke to help me burp it up; I am still getting acid in my throat; I have called my dr office to seek apt but no word.
