I am having total knee surgery May 23. My blood work May 2 showed low iron and hemoglobin. I was told to schedule iron infusion and 3 procrit.
Reading about these, which I thought would make me feel better.....on the contrary....there are many side effects... with my total hip, I needed 4 units of blood during surgery.
