I Am Looking For A Description Of What To Expect

I am looking for a description of what to expect at a consultation appointment with an endocrinologist regarding high blood sugars, diabetes/pre-diabetes. I read in one place mention of a head to toe physical exam and I just don't feel like dealing with that with a new strange doctor, that I'm trying out.
