I am omvacation in Northwestern Calif and went to a clinic for what I thought was Ann ingrown toe nail. The practitioner told me I neede surgery after a quick glance to peel away the nail. I said I had these before and believed there was a bit of a toe nail in the corner of my big left toe.
He went in there and took out a very small piece and put get amy in ointment on it and then said I should take 1000 units of Kellee a day. I hate antibiotics.
I took the bandage off after 48 hrs to give it some fresh air and have reapplied gentamicin. I haven’t taken the Keflex. The pai is now more on the top of the toe which has redness either from the bandage or maybe he was right and there is an infection?.
I have scheduled an appt w/ my podiatrist in NY on 6/25. Any harm if I hold off on the keflex and keep applying the gentamicin topically.
