I Am On A Long Holiday In Canada And USA.

I am on a long holiday in Canada and USA. Currently I am in San Francisco. I was told I have shingles and was given Valacyclovir 500mg 2 tablets three times a day for 7 days. Which I have taken on 20 to 27 November 2015. There is considerable improvement. But itching has not gone completely. I apply calamine lotion. What more should I need to do I to get rid this?
Please advise? I will be states till mid Jan-2016. My blood pressure and sugar are well under control.
I want free advise please.
