I Am On A Statin For Chlorestor (do Know How

I am on a statin for chlorestor (do know how to spell it). I have had memory loss that sent me to a doctor who ordered a MRI. The MRI was normal. My concern is that I have a very small artery in my heart that is to small to stint if the need be. I don't know rather the medicine is worth the memory loss to protect my heart. Can it cause dementia?
