I Am On My First 3 Week Cycle Of Capecitabine
I am on my first 3 week cycle of Capecitabine with Denosomab and Xarelto(blood thinner) for stage 4, triple negative breast cancer with metastasis to the bone (pelvis and one rib).
My haematologist has just written to me to say that my B12 levels are normal but folate deficient.
She has prescribed 5 mg of folic acid ,daily but not mentioned that there is an interaction between Capecitabine and folic acid which will substantially increase any side effects from the Capecitabine.
What would you suggest that I do?
Would it be better to switch to Paclitaxol instead of Capecitabine so that I can take the folic acid?
