I Am One Week Into My Recovery From Triple Hernia

I am one week into my recovery from triple hernia operation, two inguinal hernias with mesh and one umbilical hernia without mesh. My surgeon has advised me that the operation went very well and that I should allow 4 weeks before resuming playing pickleball. Is he being overly cautious, or would it be possible to start playing after 3 weeks? 2 weeks?
