I Am Over 60, And Am Experiencing Pain On The

I am over 60, and am experiencing pain on the inner side of my left ankle. I have swelling there as well. I have had light pain on and off for approximately 3 months, but it became sharp pain last night. The pain went away when I elevated it, but it's still swollen and the pain has not returned yet.
