I Am Planning For Pregnancy. On 13th Day One Of

I am planning for pregnancy. On 13th day one of my follicle got ruptured and I had intercourse on my 12th and 13th day. On my 13th day, my doctor gave me progesterone tablets 200 mg and I was asked not to have intercourse after that. My question is, why did the doctor advised me to not have intercourse after the 13th day. Could you please explain?
