Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am post concussion (MVA) by 8 months. Had all of the classic symptoms and mostly resolved. Five weks ago I had to drive for a long 8 hour trip and went from sea level up into the mountains in western Massachusetts. Woke up with a day with vertigo for the first time in my life (I am 66). Very scary. I have had ear aches since, mostly in the left ear. PCP finally saw fluid in middle ear and I was put on Ibuprofen and Pseudafed. I have also tried Tylenol and Claritin. Worse when I wake up in AM but never goes away. Trying to get an appointment with an EN and T MD here in rural Maine and still waiting. I have to fly in 3 weeks and the thought of it makes my cringe. My eustacian tubes are not draining or something. No cold, infection, cough , etc. at all when this started or since.
