I Am "pre Diabetic" On Metformin 750mg 1X Daily. Today,

I am "pre diabetic" on metformin 750mg 1X daily. Today, because of a steroid epidural injection due to spinal stenosis (cervical), plus eating sweets tonight & pasta, (didn't know the steroid shot hiked glucose levels), my glucose number I just checked is 277! Am I in danger going to bed? What should I do to get it down?
