I Am Pretty Sure I Have ADD But I Am

I am pretty sure I have ADD but I am really scared to say something about it to my doctor because I don't want her thinking I am out to just get drugs. I have learned that many people abuse medications that help deal with ADD. How do I approach my doctor about this?
