I Am Seeing A Black Spot In My Vision (mostly

I am seeing a black spot in my vision (mostly in the dark) after being hit in the face (right side cheek) with a soccer ball, I saw an ophthalmologist yesterday and he said he could not see anything even checked the retina which thank fully had no damage.
Does the spot disappear, it is bruising?
