I Am Seeing A Bright Light Spot From My Peripheral

I am seeing a bright light spot from my peripheral vision of my right eye, like flashing light. Specially when the light goes down in the evening. What is it? and what can I do about it? It has been about 2 weeks now and it is not getting any better.
