I Am Seeing Small Hollow Black Circles In My Left

I am seeing small hollow black circles in my left eye, they have been there several months. I had it once before a few years age, eye doctors could not see them. went to Mayo, they said it was in my eyegel. I can't remember what it was or what to do.
