I Am Suffering From Gas And Acidity Problems Since 2010

I am suffering from gas and acidity problems since 2010 I go to doctor he prescribes medicines and there is relief also but it recurs recently doctor prescribed Genaton total There is no visible relief in 4 days. Will it work after few days? Is there any other solution to this problem?
