I Am Taking 125 Mg Of Cipro A Day For

I am taking 125 mg of cipro a day for chronic prostatitis. However I seem to have come down with diverticulitis, hard stool one day and frequency the next. I take Metamucil daily as well on occassion, lactulose. Can I still take Metamucil and lactilose if I suspect an infection?
