I Am Taking Cartia XT From Actavis For High Blood

I am taking Cartia XT from Actavis for high blood pressure. The 300 mg capsules are bright orange. I have noticed a small elongated object in the toilet after a bowel movement on several occasions. Today I pulled it out and washed it off. It appeared to be the size of the diltiazem capsule but nearly white. I cut it in half and found it was filled with a white substance. Could a Cartia capsule pass through the digestive tract and give up it's active ingredients and still come out mostly unchanged?
