I Am Taking Metoprolol Succ Er, Valsartan,and Hydrochlorothiazide To Control

I am taking Metoprolol Succ Er, Valsartan,and Hydrochlorothiazide to control my high blood pressure. It has worked for some time now. I'm doing Aerobic exercises at least 3 times a week. I did not take my medications for almost a week (I did not have axess to my meds) and when I restarted my meds I noticed my High blood pressure shot up to almost 180 plus. When I exercise my pressure goes down to about 140, where before, after my exercises my pressure would go down to about 115. Can you tell me what is going on?? I have an appointment with my Dr. in about one week.
