I Am Taking Pantoprazole But Am Having Burning Throat Though

I am taking pantoprazole but am having burning throat though not really feeling heartburn.
It is not what I am eating because I'm afraid to eat anything. Someone to,d me that Galviscon some time used in conjunction with that works. Also, is pantoprazole and omeprazole the same thing?
