I Am Trying To Remember The Real Name Of The

I am trying to remember the real name of the green liquid that small town doctors used to keep in their offices and would pour into medicine bottles for nervous panicky women to help them settle down. It was especially helpful for new mothers who were anxious about their small children. We referred to it as green river.
