I Am Trying To Take Nicotine Lozenges To Stop Smoking,

I am trying to take nicotine lozenges to stop smoking, but each time I take one, it seems as if my blood sugar levels drop rapidly. I know nicotine should raise blood sugar, not drop it. My symptoms include, sweating, tachycardia, dizziness, rapid breathing, nausea, and jitters. All of which are relieved after eating some food, and rather quickly I might add. I am not diabetic but have had issues with hypoglycemia be for so I know what that feels like. Any advice? It could be that I hadn't eaten in a few hours buy I find it odd that this has occurred two consecutive times after taking a lozenge.
