I Am Unmarried -age 40 .I Gone For Regular Checkup

I am unmarried -age 40 .I gone for regular checkup of abdomen ultrasound . My doc encourage me for transvaginal ultrasound . She don't know that I was not married and start the process.I was unable to cope up and stopped her for doing the transvaginal ultrasound.She said it's normal to do but since I am not married its unethical to perform the same and she done external ultrasound. But since she tried doing the same I lost some blood.is this mean my hymen broken? I am worried. How it's effect the system.what's the purpose of hymen. Is this recreate naturally
